Coalfire Pizza - Chicago
With two locations in West Town and Lakeview, Coalfire serves an American spin on traditional Neapolitan-style pizza. Its signature: a thin crust emerging slightly charred and bubbly from an 800-degree oven fueled by clean burning coal.
The award-winning pizza is so popular that customers are willing to wait longer for tables (there are no reservations at Coalfire). Ingredients are sourced from local artisan
butchers and growers, who produce hormone-free, humanely raised meats and organic, non-GMO fresh produce.
Highlights of the menu include margherita, white, burnt onion & sausage, and bacon jam pizzas. Diners may build their own pizzas as well as there are choices for children. There are also plentiful craft beer and wine selections. Dessert is provided by Bang Bang Pie Company, which offers a daily special.
